Kedarkantha trek is everything a trekker can dream about; crystal clear mountain, the verdant expanse of rich flora, unexplored mountain terrain of Uttarakhand, jaw-dropping campsites, the serenity of mountain villages and a glimpse into the distinct culture of locals, the trek is a wholesome package of fun and adventure. Experiencing the local culture and feasting on local meals is another attraction of the Kedarkantha trek. The warm hospitality of locals is such a rewarding experience that it leaves you wondering at their magnanimity.
Short Itinerary
- Day 1 : Pickup From Dehradun and drive to Sankri
- Day 2 : Trek from Sankri to Juda-ka-Talab
- Day 3 : Trekking from Juda-ka-Talab to Kedarkantha Base (Talkhetra)
- Day 4 : Early Morning Hike From Kedarkantha base to Kedarkantha peak; descend to Sankri base
- Day 5 : After Having Last Tea With Us, Departure from Sankri to Dehradun
Itinerary
● Sankri is located at an altitude of 1920 meters and 6,400 feet.
● Dehradun to Sankri 220km drive which will take almost 10 hours.
● All the trekkers will be pickuped from assigned location at 7:00AM in a Bolero (6-7 seaters).
● You will be reaching at Sankri till 05 in the evening.
● BSNL network is not good.
● On this day we will to 9100 ft from 6400 ft.
● Trekking for 4km will take 5 long hours
● The path will pass through maple trees, oak forests, water streams, and
stunning meadows.
● Night stay in camps on triple sharing or dual sharing basis.
● Today we will trek to 11250 ft from a height of 9100 ft.
● Trekking for 2kms which will take time of 2.5 hours.
● Most of the trail is on a ride and under the beautiful oak trees
● You will be passing through some pastures where shepherd log huts can be seen
● Night stay in tents, giving amazing views of nature.
● We Will Wake Up Early Mornig for the summit push / peak.
● Trekking for almost 10-12 hours for 12kms trek
● You will see sun rise if we reach on time to summit
● Served with lip-smacking lunch at the camp base only
● After lunch, descending towards Sankri via Hargaon
● For snacks time we will reach to Sankri base
● Night stay will be organized in the same homestay.
● Back to Dehradun which is 220km from Sankri.
● The drive will take almost 10 hours but, on the way, you will come across beautiful scenes.
● By Bolero or any other vehicle, you will be dropped at Dehradun Railway Station
Incudes
- ● All the trek equipment will be included like a sleeping bag, kitchen & dining tent, utensils, mattress, tent, toilet tent, and crampon (if needed)
- ● Microspikes and Gaitors for saftey of our trekkers
- ● All the needed entry fees along with permits
- ● First aid medical kits, oxygen cylinder as well as stretcher.
- ● Meals during the trek only vegetarian.
- ● During the trek, charges of accommodation in the guest house, homestay, and camping.
- ● Porters/mules in order to carry vital equipment
- ● Hiking skilled and proficient trek leader, cook, guide, and support staff
- ● Transport charges from Dehradun to Sankari and Return.
Excludes
- ● The food at the time of transit
- ● All kinds of personal expenditures
- ● Anything that we have not mentioned beforehand
- ● Mules or porter to carry private baggage
- ● Any kind of emergency evacuation charges
- Booking sum is Rs. 5000 per seat.
- Seats are booked on a first-come-first-served basis.
- The rest of the 50% amount is to be paid 7 days prior to the trip (Through Bank Transfer) and the remaining balance is to be paid in cash at the time of departure. After That Non-Refundable.
- Registration Charges are non refundable
- If cancellations are made within 2 days before the start date of the trip, 100% of booking value will be charged as cancellation fees. In unpredictable weather conditions or Government restrictions, there may be some activities has been canceled and in such cases, we will do our best To provide alternative viable activity.Although No refund will be made for this.
- We can Reserves your Amount. You can use it in Future bookings.
- Standard time of check in at 11 AM , early check-ins are depend on availability , your cooperation is appreciable.
- Transportation shall be provided as per the itinerary and will not be at disposal. ( AC will not work on hills )
- Registration once booked cannot be cancelled , transferred and exchanged.
- In case of breakdown of the vehicle ,travelers have to wait for repair or other alternate option arranged by the company.
- Travelers are sole responsible for any miss happening , theft , loss , injuries ,illegal activities such as carry banned drugs , unlawful activities during the tour.
- Covid Guidelines must be followed by all travelers.
- Departure reserves the right to take photographs of participants of a tour with their concerns that may be used for promotional purposes. Participants who would prefer their image not be used must identify themselves to the tour leader/company at the commencement of a trip.
- Departure will not be liable for any delay in, change to or cancellation of trips due to Force Majeure’. “Force Majeure’ means a circumstance beyond the reasonable control of the company and includes, but is not limited to, war or threat of war, riot, lockdown , civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial dispute, disease, industrial or nuclear disaster , adverse weather conditions, fire , restrict to entry of any place , flight/train cancellation and strikes. While we will do our best to make suitable alternate arrangements, we would not be held liable for any refunds/compensation claims arising out of this.
